In the original posting of this story, I did not specify two important points:

1. Rush Limbaugh can be fairly called a racist.

2. I do not personally listen to or endorse his views on any level, although I also do not dispute everything he has said either, but I find it personally difficult to give him any kind of credibility based upon his sometimes outrageous behavior.

THAT BEING SAID  - the ORIGINAL intent of this post was to point out an imbalance of reporting of the other side of the story - which is to me, the racism of African American leaders and the lack of airtime their ridiculous antics are getting, or is Anti Semitism considered a lesser form of racism?

Why don't we call out EVERYONE on this type of behavior regardless of skin color and ensure that stupidity is rewarded with bright lights and humiliation?

Taliban on the Decline - Keep Up The Fight!!!

The latest tactics of the Taliban are proof that the organization is on it's last legs in Pakistan, and in order for them to survive, they are going to have to fight to the last suicide soldier, and even then, survival is unlikely as long as the military keeps up the pressure on their safe havens. These behaviors are the death throes of the terrorist cause.

If Obama wants a real exit strategy for the war in Afghanistan and Pakistan, then he needs to keep up the flow of American assistance, be it money, troops, training, or whatever helps the locals root out the crazies in their midst. They need to be shown that they can do it themselves.

ObamaCare Truth

The Dems have been saying that the Healthcare Plan is going to stimulate the economy, when in reality, the tax burden assumed by small business and and individuals will actually strangle them. If recovery means more disposable income and better profits for small businesses to reinvest, enabling growth, then higher taxes are not the solution.

Do we need a better healthcare system in this country - absolutely - is the current legislation going to get us even remotely in the ballpark?

Sorry to squash the dream, but no.

Taliban Running Scared

It would seem that the terrorist havens in Pakistan are concerned about the impending army incursions into their little safe zones and are trying to cause distraction and confusion - that is my opinion of course, but I would not be surprised if we see more of this type of thing in the weeks ahead. I personally don't think the tactic is going to work, but it doesn't surprise me. This is the only tactic that terrorists know.

Why are there 20,000 troops being placed on US Soil for internal purposes? Isn't that why we have a police force? Perhaps the government just likes the idea of having troops because they answer to federal authorities and not locals... easier to unleash them on civilians that way for sure.

Am I being paranoid? If so, I am not the only one. Check out the interviews in the video. My favorite is the guy who said "It doesn't seem right to have the military policing US Citizens. It seems like a dangerous power grab" - or words to that effect.

NY Times Editorial on Abortion Provisions


Ok folks, lets just toss out some controversy this morning and get our blood pumping. I am EXTREMELY interested in hearing what you have to say about the points raised in this article regarding Health Care Abortion Provisions and the arguments being waged by the right and the left.

Personally, I am pro-life. I believe abortion to be murder, and for some reason this belief is always associated with the right, which I don't understand because there are plenty of Democrats who feel the same as I do and vote that way. I am still trying to figure out why killing a bald eagle egg is considered a crime and killing an unborn human is not. Very confusing.

However, I do NOT believe it is my right to make another person's choices for them, and it is certainly not my right to judge them. If you want to get an abortion, that is your right in this country, and so it should be. If God has a problem with that - which I believe is the case - you will be made aware of that when you reach the finish line. All I can do is hope that you will stop thinking that way, that the right to live for the unborn should be sacrosanct, but again, the voters have spoken and they have said that the right is yours - period.

This does not mean that you get to tax me to pay for it. Pay for your own abortion.

Banks Preying On Us? Really?
Wow - maybe we should socialize the banks as well as healthcare - that should take care of all our problems!

Can you believe our leaders passed the bailouts - saving the collective rear-ends of these guys - and then they start doing this? I can, and if this blog were about 8 months older I would have told you it was coming.

Listen up, even with the CARD act being passed, the banks are like any other fat cat and will fight dirty to keep their revenues high and YOU paying for it. Now you have paid twice, first with the taxes that will be needed to support the bailout and now with rate hikes, fees, and random penalties.
